What is an Health Product Declaration?

Looking for products that are safe for people and transparent about their chemical contents? A Health Product Declaration (HPD) is your answer. It’s a detailed report that shows exactly what chemicals are in a product and whether they may pose health risks. Architects and designers rely on HPDs to specify materials that support healthy indoor environments and earn points for LEED v4 and other green building standards.

QTC has been a ksa leader in third-party environmental and sustainability verification, certification, auditing, testing, and standard development. QTC has an experienced in-house life cycle assessment (LCA) team that manages every aspect of the EPD process, working with you to ensure a smooth, efficient LCA and an accurate EPD. We provide two services as a Programme Operator:

Development of LCA and EPD. QTC does the LCA and generates the EPD report based on the relevant PCR. The EPD is then independently verified by an external third party before it is published.
Verification of the EPD. If you have already done an LCA, QTC can analyses it critically and provide a template for the EPD. QTC will compare the EPD to the LCA report and the designated PCR.
If a PCR for your industry's category is not yet available, QTC can assist in the development of a Product Category Rule (PCR).
